What Assetera is
A MiFID-regulated brokerage and real-world-asset tokenization exchange: the platform, who it's for, and the products it offers.
Assetera is a MiFID-regulated brokerage and a real-world-asset (RWA) tokenization exchange. It lets investors trade tokenized instruments, lets issuers bring assets to market, and lets distribution partners offer that catalog to their own customers, all under a compliance model where eligibility is checked at the moment of each action, not just at sign-up.
The platform is a small, identity-first stack: standards-based OIDC identity, a multi-tenant Marketplace API as the trading venue, and an on-chain exchange contract that settles trades and enforces per-action compliance through signed attestations.
Where Assetera comes from
Assetera began as a VASP (a registered crypto-asset service provider) running a crypto on-ramp and custody service, then pivoted to a MiFID investment-brokerage model focused on tokenized real-world assets. The on-ramp and custody functionality is legacy (wound down, not extended). Records from that era are retained where regulation requires it, but the forward-looking product is the brokerage and RWA exchange. Where a page describes something not yet in production, it says so.
Who Assetera is for
- Investors: retail and professional clients who want to buy and sell tokenized instruments. Their eligibility (KYC status, investor category, jurisdiction, and per-instrument limits) is carried on a verified identity token and enforced on every trade.
- Issuers: parties bringing a tokenized instrument to market, with its regulatory identity (ISIN, suitability profile, documents) modeled as first-class catalog data.
- Distribution partners: businesses that want to offer Assetera's catalog to their own users through one shared, multi-tenant API. A partner sees only its own catalog, users and audit trail, and can rely on Assetera's KYC (or have Assetera rely on theirs) under a reliance agreement.

Assetera is actively being built out onto the stack described in these docs. The identity, tenant-isolation and compliance-gating foundations are proven; the full catalog and several services are an in-progress build. Pages mark planned or not-yet-shipped pieces explicitly.
